Chorus Performs for Marine Homecoming!
The Chorus was invited to perform for the homecoming of the United States Marines as they returned from Afghanistan on Thursday, March 31, 2011. “It was truly an honor to be a part of such an important (and emotional) homecoming.” said Chorus Director, Edward Arthur Shure. “You can’t imagine how powerful and life-changing an event like this is until you witness it for yourself - and we weren’t over there!” Shure was further honored to participate in both homecomings (the first was on March 24) by providing music to entertain the families while they awaited their Marine’s return, but he received the ultimate honor of singing the National Anthem during both events.
Voices Strong Despite Budget Cuts
Effective January 1, 2010 the Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus lost its funding from the Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department due to the ailing economy. The Chorus will continue to seek other means to fund the paid positions. Suggestions? Click HERE!
