Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus
Thank you for stopping by the Web home of the Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus. Here you will find information about the Chorus, its director, the concert schedule and, most importantly, how you can become a member!
The Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus, sponsored by the Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department, has been hailed by Cuyahoga Falls Mayor, Don L. Robart as, “Ambassadors for our Community.”
The Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus provides an opportunity for singers of all ages to enjoy the fun and fellowship of singing together in a friendly, family like environment. Additionally, the Chorus serves the community by performing in retirement and nursing homes; hospitals and rehabilitation facilities; public libraries; and for civic events and organizations as well as churches throughout the region.
The Chorus repertoire typically includes broadway musicals, “oldies but goodies,” spirituals, patriotic songs as well as light classical and sacred works. The Chorus has become widely known for its holiday programs that help spread the warmth of the holiday season to all.
The Chorus reaches thousands of people throughout Northeast Ohio. Some of the noteworthy events in the Chorus’ recent history include a performance for President George W. Bush during his historic visit to Cuyahoga Falls; a special appearance at the grand opening of the Holiday Lights at Blossom; a program to celebrate Cuyahoga Falls’ 20th Anniversary of being a “tree city” for Arbor Day; annual appearances at the Tree Festival in downtown Akron; the opening of the new Ice Rink in beautiful Falls River Square and multiple appearances at the Cuyahoga Falls Library. Additionally, the Chorus performed in a joint holiday concert with the Stow Chamber Orchestra and Stow Chamber Orchestra Chorus; and annual holiday and spring performances at the Quirk Cultural Center in Cuyahoga Falls
The Chorus, now over 50 members strong, welcomes singers of all ages from Cuyahoga Falls and all throughout Northeast Ohio. The Chorus rehearses on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Avenue in Cuyahoga Falls.
